Amazing Residential and Commercial Remodels and New Construction Since 1987
Jeffry Pollard, as luck would have it, was born into a family business. His Grand Father and Father started their design and construction partnership in 1946, making Jeff third generation General Contractor. In August of 1982 he obtained his personal Contractor’s License (#426167) and in November of 1987 the company became a corporation with a new license: #521118. Jeff attended Herbert Hoover High School in Glendale, California, graduating in 1971 — still living and working where he grew up. In high school he enjoyed working on the drafting table and while attending Glendale College he studied architectural drafting. These were the days before computers, and all architectural plans and drawings were done with a T-square, triangle and a lead pencil on velum paper. After ten years and the personal computer revolution, he went back to Glendale College and learned about computers. Working at his Father’s company, Jeff did a lot of Kitchen and Bathroom design, and created many room additions. He became a member of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) which held national design contests every year where the company won many prizes. "When I started my own company I decided I wanted to be a Design/Build Contractor. I continue to personally design 80 to 90% of the projects we build. I found that if I could solve the customer's design challenges I would gain the client's confidence, and as long as we gave a reasonable bid, then we would receive the construction contract." Jeff has been involved with the Building Industry Association (BIA) for many years and it is this association with other Contractors that he keeps up to date on new technology. At one of the conventions he was walking the booths of new products, and he learned about Computer Aided Design (CAD). This new technology was so advanced and so professional looking — there was no comparison to what he was doing on a drafting table. He'd seen what his competition could do on the computer, producing digital drawings with three dimensional imaging — in color — and had to learn this new technology. "These new digital CAD plans will take your breath away, my customers can’t believe it. I love to impress my clients with professionalism." In 1998, through the National Association of Home Builder’s (NAHB) Jeff received his Certified Graduate Remodelor (CGR) degree. The NAHB has a continuing education arm to educate new contractors in professional business practices. To be a member, you have to have been in business a minimum of 10 years. Through the last two decades we have run into every problem that can happen. We just put our heads together analyze the situation and suggest ways to make the corrections. We now know what will work and what will not work. We are continuing to do our projects along the 210 freeway, La Cresenta, La Canada Flintridge, Pasadena, Arcadia, Glendale, Sunland-Tujunga and Glendale. A List of Services:
Jeff has two grown children, Jeffry Jr. and Jamie who are both married, have families of their own that live and work in the local area. "If you have interest in working with a local Design/Build Contractor who has lived and worked in this local area for the last fifty-seven years, give us a call at (626) 227-1167." |
